Our Story
We are from Sfax, the capital of olive trees in Tunisia. We own olive farms and a work shop.
The olive trees in our region are very special and unique. They grow bigger and last longer than anywhere else in the world.
They are Non-GMO and produce up to 4000 lbs of olives.
The olive trees are hand harvested because the trunk is big. No machine can fit in it or even be able to shake it.
The trees are very strong because they we give them space. The distance between each two trees is 24 meters (75 feet). The roots go deeper so the tree can resist the dry weather.
Those trees were planted by hands in the 19th century. It is impressive how they are perfectly aligned. We always insist on perfection and pay attention about details.
The olive tree is part of our culture, we take care of it with love.
We cut some branches at the end of each season.
This small tree is 30 years old. It is on the beginning of each production cycle.
This olive tree is named as “Zaytounet Lakarit” to refer to the family owners “ Lakarit” that live in Tataouine (South of Tunisia). It is the oldest olive tree in the mediterranean region and is about 2500 years old.
AT the end of its life cycle, the olive tree is still giving so much of beauties. Its wood is very special with average age of 500 years. We dry the wood during a full year before working on it.
